Viral rant: 'We're sick of Real Madrid and Barça'
The journalist accuses Mourinho of protesting non-stop and calling Mantilla a cheat
El Club Uría plays the audio of Ángel García on COPE's El Partidazo
On COPE's El Partidazo, Ángel García erupted after Racing-Real Madrid, denouncing the robberies Racing have suffered and calling out Mourinho for complaining about referees while penalties are given in his favour.
Rubén Uría opens the refereeing debate with a clip of Ángel García speaking on COPE's El Partidazo the night after Racing de Santander v Real Madrid. The journalist starts with a blunt statement: he is sick of Real Madrid and Barça, and of everything being filtered through them.
García acknowledges that Real Madrid are infinitely superior and would probably have won comfortably with or without the penalties, but that is not the problem. He recalls the matches in which, in his view, Racing have been robbed, and hits out at the Madrid narrative that everything is orchestrated against them.
His criticism centres on Mourinho. He takes him to task for not answering about the two penalties when asked, for getting up to tell Mantilla he had dived when he had in fact broken his knee, and for accusing Santander of protesting too much. He finishes with irony: this from the coach who has five people trained to stand up one by one to protest.
