Rubén Uría reads between the lines: midfield comes down to Llorente-Barrios or Coque-Barrios

Asked by Nacho Donado, Simeone would not reveal his starting XI but said Cardoso and Morten are out. Rubén Uría takes it as confirmation that Cardoso will miss the game; on Cuti, not a word.
Once the press conference was over, Rubén Uría analysed the final question, Nacho Donado's query about the midfield. Simeone played his cards close to his chest and would not reveal which XI he will field, but he did drop a hint.
According to Uría, Simeone said Cardoso is out and Morten is out, the latter through suspension. Take both out of the equation and the conclusion is that Cardoso will not make it in time for the match.
That leaves two options in the middle of the park: Llorente alongside Barrios, or Coque alongside Barrios. Uría believes Nacho got that headline out of Simeone. He did find it curious, however, that the coach said nothing about Cuti Romero, the other big doubt after training in the gym.
