Oblak: the yardstick for the new Atlético away from home
Last season he faced six or seven shots per game; this year the figure has dropped considerably
Rubén Uría puts the spotlight on Jan Oblak's performances
Rubén Uría argues that the best gauge of Atlético on the road lies in their goal: Jan Oblak is facing far fewer shots than last season, yet he still produces a brilliant save in every match.
Picking up on a reference to Oblak during the 'Club Uría' panel discussion, Rubén Uría turns it into his central argument: perhaps that is the right yardstick for Atlético de Madrid away from home this season.
Last year, he recalls, there was talk of Oblak's mistakes or of him no longer pulling off miracles as he used to, bearing in mind that he was facing six or seven shots per game. This year he faces one and a half, two, three at most. And even so, he produces a brilliant save in every match.
