Barça close the door on Julián Álvarez: 'It wouldn't make sense'
His new agent has caused unease at Atlético, but Barça rule out another move after the Argentine's apology

For Carlos Monfort, Julián Álvarez is a thing of the past at Barça. Despite concern at Atlético over his change of agent, he believes going back for him would be a mistake given Barça's current attack.
Rubén Uría asks what the mood is among Barça supporters after Julián Álvarez admitted he got it wrong and apologised to the Atlético fans. Carlos Monfort, a journalist at the newspaper 'Sport', is clear: it is a matter of the past and the door is closed.
He explains that there was some unease at Atlético over the change of agent. The new representative, a low-profile agent with few elite players on his books, is well regarded at Barça for the way he works, and at Atlético they warned him that what happened in the summer must not happen again.
Even so, Barça have ruled it out, at least for now. For Monfort, going back for him would make no sense given the current attack and considering that Julián has apologised and is gradually starting to find his feet. He believes it would not make sense for Julián, for Barça or for Atlético.
