Baena's 88th-minute stunner earns Atlético win at Espanyol

Rubén Uría opens his live show moments after Espanyol 0-1 Atlético de Madrid and breaks down Álex Baena's superb goal: playing out from the back, a Julián feint and a rocket from the edge of the box. For him, a deserved win from the first minute.

The final whistle has only just gone at the RCD Stadium and Rubén Uría kicks off the programme with the result still fresh: Espanyol 0, Atlético de Madrid 1, and another away win for the Atleti thanks to what he dubs a 'Baenazo', a Baena special.

Uría pieces the goal back together. In the 88th minute, the team play out from their own box with one-touch football and string together seven or eight passes to launch a lethal counter-attack. Julián Álvarez spots it out of the corner of his eye, shapes one way, goes the other and slips the ball to Baena, who finds a defender in front of him and unleashes a rocket that ends up as a genuine wonder goal.

The presenter is in no doubt about the verdict: Atlético de Madrid came out to win from the first minute, had no luck in front of goal for much of the match, but eventually got their reward right at the death. For Uría, a thoroughly deserved victory.
